some senior year

so its been months since i last posted anything...mainly because nothing worth posting has happened. at least nothing i really want to talk about on the internet has happened.

i guess the summer was ok. after returning back to school from summer vacation everyone always asks "how was your summer?" well my summer was defined as "the best AND worst summer of my life". the beginning was awful, depressing, life changing, and all around shitty. however, towards the end i began to "cope" with what was going on in my life and the lives of my family. i started hanging out with someone completely unexpected who also changed my life in a very positive way.

well this brings me to the present. amanda asked me to continue writing things on this blog because she found it extremely entertaining...however, there is one stipulation DO NOT MENTION SAPPY THINGS ABOUT MARLIN. well, its hard to mention many things without mentioning him but here we go.

i haven't done half as adventurous things as i did freshman year and i haven't done a quarter of adventurous things as i did sophomore and junior year. i go to a quarter of the parties i did previous years and i consume half of the alcohol i did. i eat healthier, go to the gym more, sleep more, and do more homework. WHY IS SENIOR YEAR SO BORING???!!! i miss my friends at home way more than i ever have and if you asked me last year around this time i'd say "hell no i'm not ready to graduate. i would like to stay in school forever". well as fun as that sounds i'm ready to get out of this place. i feel like i can do a lot more damage in southampton county and have more fun there as well.

fall break is less than a week away and i just can't wait to get home for 5 whole days!!! i'm bringing one book, 6 highlighters, and 2 bottles of liquor home with me...things should be interesting. (:

season 5

so second semester freshman year (season 2) my friends and i decided that we lead fascinating lives and should be offered a reality show by MTV or VH1 or some cool network. This is a crazy idea and will NEVER happen...but we liked to refer to our semesters as seasons for the reality show that was in our heads.

well now we're saying goodbye to season 5 and it seems like we were saying goodbye to LC on the hills and welcoming Whitney on the City. (yeah i went there...i just made a Laguna Beach spin off analogy). we've introduced new characters to our lives, said goodbye to some old ones who started their own reality show, and we've even lost pounds/gained pounds and lost some color in our skin.

this season has been...interesting to say the least. i, myself, have gone to JMU twice (when i'd never been before in the other seasons), VT on a whim once, had friends come visit, and spent wayyyy too much money on gas...and alcohol. oh and i'm not a teenager anymore! go me! (:

every wednesday there have been "humpday" parties that are themed and of course i got dressed up like a fool for every single one of them. however, i did some great PR for season 7 (can't wait) . i'm predicting that christmas break will be a good season ender and a good season 6 beginner.

hopeful predictions for season 6 include:
1. quadfest
2. baseball games
3. tanlines (cute ones)
4. settle down? (probably not)
5. internship

finally i feel productive

monday: wake up, go to class, go to lunch, class, class, LIBRARY, dinner, gym, LIBRARY, sleep
tuesday: wake up, gym, LIBRARY, class, LIBRARY, meeting, LIBRARY, meeting, dinner, sleep
wednesday: wake up, meeting, turn in paper, present for 30 min, lunch, class, class, meeting, LIBRARY
thursday: wake up, class
friday: wake up, class, lunch, class, class, DRINKKKSSSS

what is wrong with me? i see this schedule and i cringe at the amount of time i spent in the library. in total i probably spent about 20 hours last week in the library (it felt like more and might have actually been less). a friend of mine would text me and ask what i was doing numerous times that week and every response was "in the library doing some work"

there is nothing wrong with this because it is college, isn't it? students should have 4 places of residence: dorm (or off campus house/apartment), classroom, library, and frat house. why did it seem like i was the only one in the library every time??? i guess i'm just not used to longwood high school giving me so much work in one week.

weekend was good. nothing to spectacular (other than the amount of sleep and relaxation i got). though i did watch seasons 4-6 of That 70s Show all weekend. thank you stephanie!!! (:

But she wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts

jmu this past weekend...what an adventure.
i've decided that no matter where you go or who you meet; if there are a group of guys around taylor swift will be played and sung very badly at the top of everyone's lungs.

i stayed with two of my guy friends from home and one of their friends from school this past weekend. i got there around 5:30pm sat in the bookstore parking lot and called will about 8 times before he finally picked up and came and got me.

my apartment at Longwood is very "homey" we have pillows and curtains and our rooms are nicely decorated...will's apartment has furniture that the school provided and a giant mess in each of the rooms. no decorations (besides the half naked girl in their kitchen and homemade beer pong rules on the wall). guys are different and we have to live with it girls.

i got to see a lot of friends from home this weekend which was great! made some new friends b/c there wasn't anyone there that i knew and i didn't want to follow my home friends around the whole weekend. i referred to the strangers as people they looked like from farmville and they fought me on it for a while until they decided i was only there for a couple nights and that i was awesome and they probably didn't want to upset me. (:

all in all it was a good weekend.

why does everyone have a twin???

So...this blog only somewhat has to do with twins but i'll get to that later.

The start of the semester has been pretty good so far. I've made new friends, lost some old ones, moved into a not-so-big-girl-apartment and planned some kick ass trips.

Everyone seems to be turning 21 in the year of 2009 besides Raquel and I...which i've decided I'm ok with. There is 5.6 calories in one table spoon of whipped cream and there are 96 shot recipes that call for whipped cream. That means (not to get all math nerd on you) that if I lasted through half of the 96 shots with whipped cream on my 21st birthday I will have consumed 268.8 calories JUST in whipped cream. That doesn't include the cases of beer I will consume that weekend, the mixed drinks my friends will buy me, and the other shooters that I will take that day...oh and the hours I will spend in the gym for the rest of my life. Not to be cynical or anything...it just helps me get over the fact that everyone is turning 21 and i'm still 19.

Ok so to explain the twin thing; the first week of school I took a different route from the landings to CSTAC (the new communication studies building) each time I found myself walking towards one of my friends. Whether its Megan look-a-like, Raquel's funnier twin (I only say this because you yourself said it first), Michele's look-a-like (who ironically is named Michelle), or the numerous ginger chunks we see around campus I seem to find them and in the early delusional morning force myself not to wave at them. So I pose this question...why don't I have a twin? Maybe next semester someone will send me a text saying "definitely just saw your twin" or "there is another Erin bopping around Longwood" or something along those lines.

JMU this weekend!!

Ice cream paint job?

so as i've mentioned before in my last blog post...7 years ago. i've had a very good summer. i've done some things that i never thought i'd get off of my ass and do.

i've been working and spending money a lot...oops :/ but last week the owners of the restaurant i work at decided to go on a cruise and close down for a week. a week that i thought would consist of me sleeping till noon, eating all day, partying all night and doing it all over agian was replaced with not one but two beach trips and a trip to charlottesville to repel down a 100ft mountain (which also meant we hiked, swam in a spring with frogs, got eaten by bugs, and killed every muscle in my body). it was a great week. i didn't get to sleep in one day that week but it was worth it.

however, with every good thing comes something bad. my parents are a little livid with me at the moment because according to them i'm only home one hour a week (LIES!!!) so me, being the stubborn person that i am, have not talked to them since monday and probably won't talk much to them for a week or so. i go into work every night when they get off work and i leave bright and early saturday morning for myrtle beach to babysit. sorry parents but i guess you picked the worst week to be super pissed at me and try to make up ): guess we'll try again when i come back!
